--Anthony Robbins
Nutrition plays a key role in the life of a young athlete. Food is the fuel that produces energy needs for your child and helps in maximizing their physical, emotional, academic and spiritual potential.
I have heard it said that we must begin to see ourselves as a soul with a body and not a body with a soul. It is important that our children see their bodies as a gift and gain a knowledge of being a good steward of that gift.
Our role as parents is to teach and model a healthy approach to living. Those tools will not only benefit your child on the field but off as well. What parent wouldn't want a child to be dedicated to making healthy choices not only with food but other aspects of living?
Looking at our health in a proper perspective not only holds us to a higher standard but gives our children a better chance at a full and energetic life now and in the future.
As we continue this season, a better season, may we learn together to be dedicated not only to the lessons baseball can instill but dedicated to a better tomorrow through healthy choices that we make and pass on to our little athletes.
